Jan Lorenz, PMHNP

Jan began her career as a Family Nurse Practitioner.  She worked in this capacity in a rural town in Texas for over 10 years.  As she was treating patients for general medical conditions, she often observed that many had mental health concerns that were affecting care and were beyond her training.  As a result, Jan was inspired to further her training in counseling and obtained a post-graduate degree in Psychiatry.  Jan has been practicing psychiatric medication management for the past 18 years.  Jan was recruited by a hospital in Southern Maine 5 years ago and has lived and worked in Maine since.  We are honored that Jan has chosen to begin her private practice work here at StonyCreek. Jan has enjoyed her transition to Maine and is happy to be experiencing all four seasons again, even the snow!  Jan's goal is to empower clients to regain their optimal functioning and states, "I feel very honored to help people get there."

Jan is meeting with patients on Thursdays via telehealth video appointment.  Jan currently accepts Anthem BCBS, Optum, Harvard Pilgrim, United Healthcare, UMR, Bind Benefits, Health Plans, Inc, Cigna as well as self-pay.
