Amanda Scola, MSN, RN, PMHNP-BC is a board certified ANCC Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) and is licensed to provide psychopharmacology and psychotherapy services to patients across the lifespan. Amanda obtained a B.S. in Human Biology from Bay Path University, a Bachelor of Nursing from the Medical University of South Carolina, and an MSN in Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing from Regis College. Amanda has a background in a number of previous psychiatric treatment settings to include outpatient, inpatient, substance abuse/dual diagnosis treatment, and eating disorders.
In addition to her clinical training, Amanda has also conducted clinical research at the Medical University of South Carolina’s Institute of Psychiatry. Amanda enjoys providing evidence-based psychopharmacologic and psychotherapeutic treatment and management of broad-spectrum mental health conditions, and is currently completing a Fellowship in Functional and Integrative Psychiatry to deliver root-cause individualized treatment interventions in managing psychiatric conditions.
Amanda has specialty interests in depression/mood disorders, anxiety, trauma and/or stressor-related disorders, eating disorders and nutritional/metabolic psychiatry, substance abuse/dual diagnosis, and functional/integrative medicine treatment options to include pharmacogenomic DNA testing to analyze how individual genes respond to psychiatric medications.
