I am a Certified Trauma Professional and Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner specializing in helping clients heal from experiences of complex trauma, grief, and loss. As a counseling intern at StonyCreek Psychotherapy and Wellness, I offer individual counseling to adolescents and adults of all ages, as well as couples coaching.
My approach is holistic and attachment-focused, supporting clients to live with a greater sense of balance, ease, and resilience. In our work together, you will build on your strengths and deepen your capacity to meet everyday challenges and experience greater vibrancy and joy within yourself and in relationships.
I hold both an M.A. and a Ph.D. in Sociology (Tulane University, 1994, 2001) with expertise in grief, stress, and coping, and am currently completing a second Master’s in clinical mental health counseling (Messiah University) towards LCPC licensure in Maine. I also have extensive experience in medical settings and end-of-life care as a clinically-trained chaplain.
